SS 350 Restoration Project

After hunting for a winter restoration project on Ebay and other places, I had decided on an old english bike such as a Triumph, BSA etc. I saw a few potentials but all were either too expensive (Bonnevilles) or too common (Bantams).

I stumbled across an Ebay advert for a 1974 Harley Davidson SS350 that had sat at the back of a garage since 1979. After doing some research, I started to become more interested. It is one of only 2,500 produced by the Aermacchi factory in Italy which was owned by Harley.

Most of these bikes have gone to the USA and it seems it is the long forgotten little brother in the Harley family, the one nobody talks about. Well, you know what us Brits are like for supporting the under-dog , I bid on the bike and won it for £970. Not as cheap as I would have liked but within the budget I had set myself.
